THE SITE Caffeine Rabbit Design is the work of Greg Crothers, serving as a repository for his artwork, cartoons, and other creative endeavors. It also acts as a place for him to practice his web design skills, so you may see things being tweaked from time to time (hopefully for the better!) The site was created using Microsoft Notepad, and utilizes HTML 4.01 standards along with CSS2 style sheets. An RSS Feed is available for update notifications, but at this point in time its still experimental. This site has a PG rating - although most of the stuff found within is whimsical and would only be offensive to paranoid schizophrenics who've watched too much German abstract cinema, adult language and themes may slip through from time to time. All images and other original content found on the site are © 2003 Greg Crothers unless stated otherwise (you steal, and we'll send Vinnie over to have a few choice woids wit yas!) That being said, enjoy! THE AUTHOR Greg Crothers is a 25 year old mostly hairless mammal currently dwelling in Shawnee, Oklahoma, US of A. While a young lad, one of the first films he witnessed was The Secret of NIMH by Don Bluth, which started his love affair with animation, cartooning, and art in general. His determination to be an animator lasted all the way up until his freshman year in college, when he learned that art isn't exactly the most lucrative of trades to persue, and the animation industry itself is a tough business to get in to. After filing the idea of doing cartoons for a living into a big manilla envelope labeled "PAST DREAMS", Greg chose to persue a degree in MIS, which he attained from Oklahoma State University in May of 2003. Nevertheless, he continues to dabble in cartooning and graphic design, and hopes to someday combine these hobbies with his computer skills while earning a paycheck of some sort (preferrably the kind that can be deposited.) Click here to see his resume at Hotjobs. THE BUNNY Why a caffeine bunny? I'm not sure - I like rabbits, and I like caffeine, so it makes sense that the two should go together. The Caffeine Rabbit mascot started off as a little boredom doodle on my wooden art board one evening. I created it in one quick stroke, and after taking a look, said to myself, "Hey Self, that's not half bad." Getting out a pad and a black marker, I tried several attempts to duplicate the spontaneous nature of the little beast with little luck, but finally got it just right. The Caffeine Bunny is the logo and mascot of this site, and more or less sums up my personal philosophy: life is absurd, so have fun. You'll see him all over the site as you go along, maybe he's there to be a companion, maybe he's there to keep an eye on you. Just know this: HE'S EVERYWHERE! NAVIGATION The navigation bar on the left can be found on every main page, and is only absent on special pages not specifically intended for the website. You can jump to any department using the bar, and the current department is displayed in the graphic at the top. If at any time you need to return to the front page, click on the Caffeine Rabbit logo. |
